Setting Up Drupal Blogging
* Basic Setup
You can get up and running with just the following 2 steps
1. Activate these modules:
- blog
- blogapi (Allows external blog editing, which is damn useful)
2. Set Access permissions for authenticated users to create and edit blog posts.
I would also suggest changing the theme. For the fastest option, find your logo on a white background, go to the themes administration, install "chameleon" and upload your logo.
* More Advanced Setup
To make your group blogging site that much more effective, add these features.
Download and install these modules:
- Trackback (allows for blog referrals, good for blog marketing )
- Pathauto ( Gives you nice urls for your blog content, I use "blogs/[user]/[yyyy][mm][dd]/[nid]" as my path
